Prayer and Support for Nigerian Armed Forces and Other Security Agencies, (PSNAFSA) has commended the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her laudable and compassionate gesture towards widows of fallen military and police personnel.

Convener, she appreciated the recent intervention of the First Lady, through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), which provided N500,000 each to 1,638 widows of fallen personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria and the Nigeria Police Force, amounting to N819 million.
“This gesture is a demonstration of compassion and a worthy recognition of the enormous sacrifices made by our military, police and other security personnel in the service of our dear nation.”
“For those of us who consistently pray for and support Nigerian’s Armed Forces and other security agencies, we understand the sacrifices made by these gallant men and women, many of whom pay the supreme price while defending the territorial integrity, peace and security of Nigeria.”
“Behind every fallen hero is a family that must continue to live with the pain of loss. The widows and children left behind are part of the enduring legacy of these heroes and deserve the care, support and recognition of the nation.”
“We therefore commend Senator Oluremi Tinubu for not only remembering these families but also providing an intervention that can help the beneficiaries to start new businesses or strengthen existing ones. This is a meaningful step towards helping the widows achieve greater economic independence and provide for their families.”
According to her, supporting the families of fallen heroes is a responsibility that transcends politics, administration and individual interests. It is a national duty.
“We urge governments at all levels, corporate organisations, private individuals and other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate this gesture and continue to support the families of personnel who have paid the ultimate price in the service of our country.”
“While no financial assistance can ever replace a lost husband, father or loved one, gestures of this nature provide hope, dignity and reassurance that the sacrifices of our fallen heroes have not been forgotten.”
“We also encourage the Federal Government to sustain and expand programmes aimed at improving the welfare of widows and children of fallen military, police and other security personnel, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, housing, skills acquisition and sustainable economic empowerment.” She stated.
“Once again, PSNAFSA appreciates and commends the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for this timely and commendable gesture. We pray that God will continue to grant her the wisdom, strength and grace to sustain initiatives that bring hope and succour to vulnerable Nigerians.” She concluded.
