May 29: Let’s Keep Fasting, Praying

… Says Asiwaju Will Make Nigeria Proud

A clarion call has gone to well-meaning Nigerians to fast for three days and keep praying for a hitch-free transition from President Muhammadu Buhari to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team.


This call was made by a community leader, Alhaji Yahaya Nojeem of Fiwakesin Mosque,  Dopemu,  Lagos.
According to him, a lot of prayers have been done in the past and still being done but there is need to also add fasting to quicken acceptance of prayers.

These fasting and special prayer session is for  peaceful handing over of leadership in preparations towards the May 29 inauguration of the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the vice-president, Alhaji Kashim Shetima.

Alhaji Yahaya Najeem also urged well-meaning Nigerians to intensify their prayers on smooth transmission of power to the new leadership and even after handing over in order to have a very successful tenure.


He pointed out that it is prayers we need to support those in leadership positions for us to end insecurity,  kidnapping and bad governance.

According to him, when we call on Allah as our usual practice, for peaceful transition of power as well as
good governance in Nigeria, Lagos State and other states of the federation, our almighty Creator always answer our supplications.


“Because we believe so much in the efficacy of prayers, we are calling on almighty Creator to use the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his would-be cabinets, to change the fortune of this country for the best and make our states and nation, one that we will all be proud of.

He also urged Nigerians to keep praying for peace and prosperity in our nation, being able to select the best team to work with and continue giving their support to the new leadership.

“We beseech Allah to grant Nigeria best in the area of security, hitch-free inauguration and successful tenure for the new president and his team.” Alhaji Yahaya concluded
