NOBLE PATHFINDER CHARITY FOUNDATION EMPOWERS 50 WIDOWS… AS IMAM ABDURRAFIU URGES WIDOWS TO PUT THEIR TRUST IN ALLAH AND SEE WIDOWHOOD AS ALLAH’S DESIGN

50 widows were empowered at the programme organised by Noble Pathfinder Charity  Foundation to mark the annual International Widows’ Day. 

In his lecture, Imam Abdujaleel Abdurrafiu of Sarumi Alawo Central Mosque, urged  the widows to put their trust in Allah always and not see widowhood as a bad thing but Allah’s design. He commended the organizers for obeying Allah’s command and called on the entire Muslim Community to support and continue with such programs that will assist widows and orphans because it is a form of jihad on the path of Allah. 

“Prophet Muhammad pbuh said that whoever takes care of orphans and widows will be in Paradise with him.”

According to Imam Abdurrafiu, Islam puts the responsibility of orphans, widows and the needy not only on family members but on the entire Muslim Ummah.

He also advised the organizers to add training on financial management, record keeping, proper packaging as well as healthcare packages like ILERA EKO HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME registration for widows and orphans, among others.

We should also look into partnership with foreign donors, collaborating with government agencies in order to reach more beneficiaries.” Imam concluded.

Also speaking, Ustadh Abdullahi Davies advised the widows to be steadfast and always ensure that their intentions are pure no matter the challenges while focusing on ensuring that they raise their children to become people who will worship Allah with needed piety. 

Speaking with our Reporter, the beneficiaries were so full of appreciation to the organizers of the event for deeming it fit to empower widows.

This kind gesture will go a long way in alleviating our challenges. And we are grateful indeed.”

Each widow went home with a cash gift of twenty thousand naira. 

The Programme Coordinator,  Hajia Muinah Bello-Kazeem stated that ‎Noble Pathfinder Charity Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to empowering vulnerable individual such as widows and school children in our community through compassion-driven initiatives, sustainable support systems, and impactful social programs.

In her speech,  the Chairperson,  Organizing Committee,  Hajia Zubaydah Adeleke-Davies said that the foundation is all about principles of service, integrity, and community development. “We strive to be a guiding light for those in need—helping them navigate challenges and build better futures.”
