The Nigerian delegation led by the Amir Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria, Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Azeez, would be joining other delegates across the world for the Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community United Kingdom, in Surrey England.
The Nigerian Delegation include members of the executive committee, the auxiliary organizations within the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat of Nigeria, ( Head, Elder Group, Alhaji Dauda Raji, the Chancellor, Comrade Hassan Sunmonu, Vice-Chancellor, Minaret University Ikirun, Prof. Abdullah AbdulRahman, Prof. Mashood Fashola, former Amir and the External Affiars Secretary, the Traditional Leader of Ikirunland, Eesa of Ikirun, Chief Adeyoyese Kareem Lawal among others.
Journalists from Voice of Nigeria, VON, Nigerian Television Authority, NTA and TVC Communications are also part of the delegation.
The Amir would formally present the licence for the Minaret University, Ikirun, the first secular university of the global Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to Hasrat Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih V, the worldwide head, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Eminent speakers would discuss a range of religious topics and their relevance to contemporary society. Additionally, a number of parliamentarians, civic leaders and diplomats from different countries will also address the gathering and underline the conventions objective of enhancing unity, understanding and mutual respect.

A special feature of this convention is that it is blessed by the presence of His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. He addresses the convention over each of the three days, providing an invaluable insight into religious teachings and how they are sources of guidance for the world today.
On Sunday, there would be a renewal of pledges to serve Allah swt and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community through a Bia’t ceremony to be led by the global head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and a closing address.
Historical Panel Discussion on Propagation of Islam will also hold on Sunday to review the contributions of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community towards the growth of Islam from London to all corners of the world.

The panelists include Qasim Akinreti PhD, Lead, Ahmadiyya History Compilation Committee, Alyas Munir, Head Ahmadiyya History Department, Germany, Naseer Dean, Naib Ameer (Deputy Head) Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, UK, Raheel Ahmad, Head of History Desk, UK and Yahya Luqman, a Missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the United States of America.
The panelists were involved in the compilation of the history of the Ahmadiyya community across Nigeria, USA, Germany and UK.
