Last Saturday, it was a roll call of who is who in Arts and Culture affairs in Lagos as the city witnessed the launch of seven great books written by a woman of courage and and commitment, Dr Busola Onilogbo-Odedina at the popular D Podium event centre, Adeniyi Jones. Ikeja-Lagos.
Dignitaries at the book launch commended Dr Odedina for achieving such a great feat of being an author of seven great books among other great life achievements.

With close to ten royal father’s in attendance and legendary Chief Alex Duduyemi among other notable personalities, it was indeed a celebration of creativity, arts, literary finesse, management, organisational and leadership skills blended with culture even in terms of foods and entertainment.
Dr. Adebusola Odedina”s books are must haves in every home.
Academia, some veteran Nollywood Actors like Saheed Balogun, Professor Tunji Sotimirin, with eminent traditional rulers, top civil servants, journalists, politicians and top socialites came to honour a woman of many parts, Erelu Odedina.
According to her, she chose a date coinciding with her late dad’s birthday in his memory to launch the books.

In her welcome address, Dr Odedina reiterated the critical role of literature in instigating debate, challenging conventional norms, and inspiring actionable change across communities. “These books encapsulate narratives that are not only reflective of our challenges but are also beacons guiding us to a future rooted in equity and respect,” she stated.
There was also a stage drama that depicted the power of women as one of the programs of event.
It was a rare blend of creative arts and scholarly dialogue on effective leadership, entrepreneurship, cultural integrity and the journey towards embracing gender equality.
As a guest at the event, I can testify to Dr. Odedina’s attention to details, best of organizational skills and leadership at its finest quality.
