Minaret’s VC Urges Muslims To Reflect On Values of Selflessness, Compassion and Service To Humanity

Prof. Abdullahi

The Vice-Chancellor, Minaret University, Ikirun, Osun State, Nigeria, Professor Abdur-Rahman Oladele Abdullah has urged Muslims to always reflect on the values of selflessness,  compassion and service to humanity.

He made the call in his Eid-ul-Adha message on behalf of the Board of Trustees, Governing Council, Management, Staff, and Students of Minaret University.

He felicitated with the entire Muslim Ummah, both within and outside the university community, on the occasion of Eid ul Adha 1447 AH / 2026.

Eid ul Adha is in honour of the profound faith, obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering submission exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS) to the command of Almighty Allah.

“As we celebrate, I urge us all to reflect on the values of selflessness, compassion, and service to humanity that form the bedrock of our mission at Minaret University. May this season strengthen the bonds of unity, peace, and mutual respect among us.”

I pray that Almighty Allah accepts our sacrifices, forgives our shortcomings, and grants us continued peace, progress, and prosperity. May He bless our families, our University, Osun State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.” Prof. Abdullahi concluded with prayers.
